Announcing the Global Faith & Work Initiative

City to City (CTC) is pleased to announce the launch of the Global Faith & Work Initiative (GFWI) to equip, connect, and mobilize churches and city networks around the world for gospel-centered faith and work ministry. For the past 20 years, CTC has helped plant churches with a particular focus on transforming layleader’s hearts so they may partner with God to impact their cities. While CTC has always been committed to committed to starting and strengthening churches that serve cities, GFWI will more intentionally equip and mobilize church leaders—both pastors and marketplace leaders—to unleash their potential for city engagement and renewal in their day-to-day work. Through the church and city networks, we seek to encourage all the people of the church to humbly live out God’s call in their own places of vocational influence.

GFWI is a new initiative developed out of Redeemer’s Center for Faith and Work (CFW) to  equip and serve churches beyond Redeemer Presbyterian with more intentionality and focus, given the increased requests for help from churches around the world. Separately, CFW will continue its direct ministry in New York City through Redeemer Presbyterian and will work collaboratively with GFWI.

CTC’s GFWI, led by newly appointed Missy Wallace, helps churches and city networks integrate faith and work theology into the DNA of their churches so congregants can engage their work with the fullness of the gospel.  Additionally, GFWI administers training and support for the Gotham Fellowship, a nine-month discipleship program currently running in 12 cities. GFWI provides training, resources and coaching to church and network leaders, helping them contextualize their programs.

CTC’s GFWI has a unique opportunity to support churches from their inception to maturity as they equip congregants to live missionally all day every day across industries. After all, in the words of Abraham Kuyper, ““There is not a square inch in the whole domain of our human existence over which Christ, who is Sovereign over all, does not cry, Mine!””
